One word….. Routine…..
Since I have got back from the UK where I had a wonderful 6 weeks visiting my family, dare I say it, I had lost my routine, but most importantly of all, I had let my focus slip.
My focus….. needs to be me. For the last 3 weeks I have felt that the old habits have crept in. Everything I work with my clients on and all that we talk about…..I wasn’t doing for myself. I was putting myself last again. I was back trying to juggle the whole work/life/family balance thing…. with the Balance totally missing. So….. this week I have got my routine back and I feel sooooooo much better and in control. I am back at the gym at 8am, as 4pm just wasn’t working. Life got in the way. Even my routine of my coffee and chicken sandwich after each gym session makes me feel happy and in control of my day.
As I have always said it is the simple things that we let slide, but they are the corner stones of our day. Put them in place, take your control back and the rest will follow.
Set yourself a challenge. Try one thing this week that makes you feel in control again. Even if it is going to bed half an hour earlier.
